Who we are
Surfing Sirago is a family-run surf school in General Luna, Siargao, Surigao del Norte, Philippines. You can reach us on WhatsApp or by phone: Michael, +63 950 304 3184.
Booking
You book by WhatsApp or phone. Before the lesson, your coach confirms the day, the time, the meeting spot and the total price in the chat. The booking is final only after that message.
Price and payment
A two-hour lesson is ₱1,200, board included. If we go out by boat on a good-wave day, it’s ₱300 more, and we agree on that first. You pay after the lesson, in Philippine pesos. Nothing is paid in advance.
Not included: entry fees that some spots charge (for example ₱100 at Ocean 9), getting to the meeting point, and drone filming. Drone footage is filmed by an independent local drone photographer who isn’t part of the school and sets their own price.
Changes and cancellations
Plans change. If you can’t make it, send a message as early as you can. Since you only pay after the lesson, there’s nothing to refund. If the ocean isn’t safe or isn’t right for your level, your coach will move the lesson to another time, and you don’t pay anything.
Safety
Surfing happens in the ocean, and in Siargao every wave breaks over reef. Please read this before your lesson:
- You should feel comfortable in the water. If you’re not a strong swimmer, tell your coach.
- Before you go in, tell your coach about any injury or medical condition.
- Follow your coach on where to stand, where to paddle and where to surf. Reef and currents change with the tide.
- Children are welcome. A parent or guardian has to agree to the lesson and stay reachable.
- Wear sunscreen and drink water. The sun is strong.
Photos and videos
We sometimes take photos and videos during lessons and put some of them on this site. If you appear in one and want it removed, message us and we’ll take it down.
Your personal information
This website doesn’t ask for personal information, has no forms and doesn’t use cookies. It’s hosted on Cloudflare, and Cloudflare’s analytics count visits without cookies and without identifying you.
When you message or call us, we receive your phone number, your name and whatever you write. Those messages go through WhatsApp (Meta), under its own privacy policy. We use this information only to arrange your lesson, and keep it only as long as we need it.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Message Michael on WhatsApp. If you’re not satisfied with the answer, you can complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
