Cemetery is a mainly intermediate surf spot near General Luna, Siargao. Mostly left-hand waves break at about five peaks along roughly 500 metres of reef. The swell determines which part might suit a session.
Several peaks along one reef
The spread of peaks is the useful detail here. A description of Cemetery as a single left misses the choice across the reef. Conditions need assessing at the actual peak where you intend to surf.
The bottom is reef. The published beginner-to-advanced range depends on swell; it should not be treated as a standing invitation for every level.
Who it’s for
Intermediate surfers are the main audience for Cemetery. A coach may consider it for a beginner in suitable conditions, but a first lesson needs a specific assessment.
Daku offers a slow right with a soft take-off for beginners with an instructor. Stimpy’s is another left reached by boat, rated intermediate to advanced. Those distinctions are easier to compare in the full spot list.
Boat or low-tide walk
The boat trip from Tourism Road is short. An undated guide price is approximately ₱150 per person return. Agree on the price and return arrangement before getting into the boat.
Walking out is possible at low tide. That describes access; it does not establish low tide as the best time to surf. Ask the coach which route and session time fit the day.
When it works
Cemetery is a swell-season spot. The island’s main season runs from late September through November into early December, with a smaller second season around March to May. Flat periods are possible in that second window. The forecast and the chosen peak matter more than the calendar alone.
Surfing Sirago
We consider Cemetery mainly for intermediate lessons. The coach chooses the spot on the day according to your level, tide and wind, and can suggest another break if the swell is unsuitable.
A two-hour lesson costs ₱1,200 with a board. Our boat-out option on good-wave days adds ₱300, as listed on the prices page. That lesson add-on is separate from the independent boat fare estimate above. Book by WhatsApp with Michael.
