Stimpy’s is a left over reef off the General Luna area of Siargao, about 15 to 20 minutes away by boat. It suits intermediate to advanced surfers. A large rock on the inside is a specific hazard to discuss before the session.

The wave

The wave runs left over reef. The rock towards the inside deserves attention when assessing where a ride will take you. Ask a local coach to point it out before getting into the water; the reef and rock are part of the decision about whether this spot suits your experience.

Who it’s for

The intermediate-to-advanced rating is consistent with the stronger sources. Descriptions that call Stimpy’s a beginner spot are unreliable. Prior surfing experience matters here, and the day’s swell can still put it beyond your level.

For a right reached by boat, compare Rock Island, which suits strong intermediates and advanced surfers. Tuason is another left, with beach access and very shallow water.

The boat trip

Boats leave from the launch at the end of Tourism Road. Allow about 15 to 20 minutes for the trip out.

Fat Lips lists approximately ₱250 per person for the return trip, with at least two passengers. Other guides quote lower fares. These are undated estimates, so agree on the total price before boarding and confirm that it includes the return trip.

When it works

Stimpy’s is usually flat from roughly late May to late August. During late December to March, it is among the sheltered spots that can work when northeast amihan winds affect more exposed breaks. Shelter does not make it a beginner wave. Check conditions before committing to the boat.
